Service to the Community

The Youth Red Cross (YRC) is a voluntary humanitarian organization that functions under the umbrella of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. Its primary aim is to engage young people (often students) in social service activities, fostering a sense of humanitarianism, compassion, and leadership among youth.

Objectives of Youth Red Cross
  • Promotion of Health and Hygiene:Organize health awareness campaigns and medical camps.Encourage practices that promote personal and public hygiene.
  • Service to the Community:Engage in disaster relief efforts like blood donation drives, flood relief, etc.Support orphans, the elderly, and marginalized communities through volunteering.
  • Fostering Humanitarian Values:Instill a sense of service, unity, and respect for human dignity among youth.Promote the principles of the Red Cross, such as neutrality, impartiality, and voluntary service.
